The OmniGO fits standard survey poles, tripods, and monopods via either a 5/8″-11 threaded bottom screw or the Leica stub adapter prism/target mount — following the same standards used across virtually all survey equipment. It also connects to the GAD52 (BLK360 tripod adapter) for an additional quick-release mounting option on a monopod or tripod. Finally, the bottom portion has a built in Swiss ARCA mount that is a popular standard in the photography tripod world.

Yes — the OmniGO includes multiple accessory mounting points designed for exactly this. Field teams use them to attach external lights for dark spaces, 360 cameras for combined capture workflows, extra handles for heavier setups, and phone or tablet holders to keep one or maybe even two hands free while operating the scanner.
Effectively, yes. The OmniGO eliminates the need to carry the original base between sites — it provides the same stable initialization platform and its flat underside doubles as a stand for the scanner. The added benefit is full tripod and pole compatibility that the original base doesn't offer. Also, the square shape gives it handy corners that you can match up to the corner of a table or other surfaces to use as beginning and end points for your scan walks.
Yes. By mounting the BLK2GO on a survey pole with the OmniGO, you can level directly over known control points for easy georeferencing — a workflow that is not possible with the standard BLK2GO base alone. Using a fixed height pole along with a known height of instrument, leveled over a known coordinate, you can easily integrate survey control into your scans to georeference your data. Several of our professional clients use this as a core part of their georeferencing process.
Yes. The OmniGO is designed to fit snugly on the BLK2GO without obstructing the handle. Professional users — including those with larger hands — have confirmed there is ample space to grip and operate the scanner comfortably with the adapter in place. You can also easily add cold-shoe handles for added flexibility in holding the scanner as well as hold the scanner from the monopod if using one.
Absolutely. Mounted on a monopod or pole, the OmniGO extends the BLK2GO's reach upward over fences, above ceiling tiles, sideways into confined spaces or out of windows, and down into areas like manholes — positions that are either impossible or physically demanding without a pole mount.
